Description

"El Castillo" meaning, the castle, but also known as the Pyramid of Kukulcan, was built during the Classical Period (c. 200-900 CE). This photo was taken during the Spring Equinox around 3pm when the sun casts a light and shadow pattern on the north side that moves like a serpent, proving the Mayan's high mastery of architecture and astronomy.
